  • Common eSIM questionsFAQ (compatibility, install, roaming, dashboard, top-ups, refunds).
  • Choosing a planHelp me choose before you buy.
  • An order or a live installContact, or email [email protected]. The WhatsApp button on this page is the same support team.
  • Your eSIM, QR, and usage — open My eSIMs in the header (same email you used at checkout). Your confirmation email is the backup.

Will my phone work?

Most current iPhones and many Android phones support eSIM. A fast check: dial *#06#. If you see an EID, the device can take an eSIM. The phone must be carrier-unlocked.

Need the full check, including iOS and Android notes? See Compatibility on the home page, then the compatibility answers on the FAQ.

Before you fly

  1. Buy a country, region, or Global eSIM that matches the trip — not a guess at the airport.
  2. Install on Wi‑Fi at home or at the airport. You can install days ahead; validity typically starts when the eSIM first joins a destination network, not at checkout.
  3. Keep your home line for calls and SMS if you need them. Use SparkRoam for data. Turn data roaming on for the SparkRoam line only.

Step-by-step install and “nothing happened after QR” answers live on the FAQ.

After you buy

Delivery is digital and usually minutes after payment. If the inbox is quiet, check spam, then My eSIMs with the checkout email — the eSIM is often already there. From the dashboard you can show or re-download the QR, see package status, and follow usage when it is available.

Need more data on an eSIM that supports it? Use My eSIMs, or look up the line on the renew / top-up page with the ICCID from the dashboard or confirmation email. Balance emails typically go out around 50%, 80%, and 90%.

First connection abroad

A short “Activating” state is normal. If data does not appear:

  • Confirm SparkRoam is the data line, with data roaming on for that line.
  • Toggle Airplane mode on and off, or restart once.
  • If the phone will not attach, try selecting the destination network manually (the FAQ lists this path).

Trust My eSIMs (or the balance link in your email) for remaining data — the phone’s own “Data Usage” warning is not your SparkRoam balance.

During the trip

  • Hotspot is allowed on most plans; a few destinations (for example Japan) may restrict tethering — the plan page and FAQ call that out.
  • Coverage follows the countries listed on the plan you bought. Multi-country trips usually need a regional plan or Global eSIM, not several last-minute country packs.
  • Still choosing? Help me choose is built for trip length and data need.

When you contact us

We can move faster when the message includes:

  • Checkout email and order reference (from the confirmation email or My eSIMs)
  • Device model and OS version
  • Destination you are in (or flying to)
  • The exact step that failed — QR scan, “Activating”, no data, missing email, refund

Use Contact for that. For a verified technical failure we cannot resolve, see the Refund Policy. Activated or partly used digital plans are generally non-refundable under those rules.
