Detailed eSIM Queries

Specific answers to technical and travel-related questions for a seamless roaming experience.

eSIMs are sent instantly. Please check spam folders first. If missing, contact us via WhatsApp from our homepage.

This is perfectly normal! An eSIM can only complete its registration when it connects to a supported network tower in the destination country.

If you are currently at home, your phone is searching for a signal that doesn't exist there. It will stay stuck on "Activating" because it cannot find its "home" network.

Do NOT delete the eSIM. Once you land in the correct country and turn the line ON, it will activate automatically within minutes.

We recommend installing your eSIM the day before you travel or while you have a stable Wi-Fi connection at the airport.

Crucial Detail: The validity period (e.g., 7 or 30 days) does not start upon installation. It only triggers when your phone connects to a supported local network at your destination.
Yes. Data Roaming must be toggled ON for the SparkRoam eSIM profile specifically. This allows the digital SIM to communicate with our partner networks abroad.

Important: Keep "Data Roaming" turned OFF for your primary (home) SIM to ensure your home carrier doesn't charge you expensive daily roaming fees.

You will receive a Balance Check Link in the same email as your eSIM QR code. Simply click that link for real-time usage updates.

Keep it handy:

  • Add to Home Screen: Open the link in your browser and select "Add to Home Screen".
  • Pin Email: "Star" or "Pin" the email in your inbox.
Yes! Since our eSIM is data-only, it works alongside your physical SIM. WhatsApp will continue using your original number, and you can still receive incoming SMS on your primary line (great for bank 2FA). Simply set SparkRoam as your "Cellular Data" source in settings.
To avoid confusion, we highly recommend labeling your new eSIM plan. Go to Settings > Cellular > [Your SparkRoam eSIM] > Cellular Plan Label and rename it to "SparkRoam". This ensures you always know which line is providing your high-speed travel data.
SparkRoam gives you total freedom. Use your eSIM as a personal hotspot to share high-speed data with your laptop, tablet, or travel buddies—at no extra cost.

Note: Some japan plans are only exception, where hotspot sharing is limited.
If speeds are slow, try toggling Airplane Mode on and off. If that doesn't help, go to your eSIM settings and disable "Automatic Network Selection," then manually select a different local carrier from the list. Sometimes one local provider has better coverage in specific neighborhoods than others.
Most smartphones have internal "Data Usage" settings with default limits that trigger warnings. These are generic phone notifications and do not reflect your actual SparkRoam balance. Always trust only the official balance check link we provided in your email.

Yes. You will receive automatic email notifications once you have used 50%, 80%, and 90% of your available data. This ensures you have plenty of time to plan a refill if needed.

Additionally, you can always check your real-time balance using the tracking link provided in the same email where you received your QR code.

Many competitors offer "Unlimited" plans that throttle your speed after small daily usage. SparkRoam is different: We provide 100% high-speed 4G/5G data for your entire balance. No hidden speed caps—just premium connectivity at the most competitive price point.
We don't spend millions on expensive advertising or influencers. We rely on word-of-mouth. This allows us to pass massive savings to you. You get honest data, Tier-1 carrier speeds, and a fair price without the "brand tax" or hidden traps.
We don’t do flashy gimmicks that inflate prices. Our prices stay fair from day one. Instead of chasing new signups with credits, we thank our loyal travelers with exclusive discounts and first dibs on new offers. Helping a friend skip the “brand tax” is the best kind of reward.
We offer refunds if there is a verified technical failure of the eSIM that our support team cannot resolve. Because eSIMs are digital products, plans that have been activated or partially used are non-refundable. View Full Refund Policy →
