  • When I will receive my eSIM ?
    Once you have purchased your eSIM, you will immediately receive an email confirmation with the QR code. If you have not received any mail, please check your SPAM. Please note that once your eSIM has been purchased, it is no longer possible to return it.
  • How can I activate eSIM using QR code?
    For iPhones (XR or newer models), just scan the QR code and proceed For Android devices that are eSIM-enabled, make sure your phone is connected (e.g. to Wi-Fi) then: Go to Settings then tap “Network & internet” or “Connections” Tap on SIM card manager Select Add Mobile Plan (or “+”) Select “Scan Carrier QR Code” (or tap “Don’t have a SIM card”) Scan the provided eSIM QR code When your plan is registered, select “OK” to turn on the plan Now that you have activated your eSIM, you can view it in SIM card manager Turn on eSIM under Mobile Network Enable “Mobile Data” and “Data Roaming” During int’l travel, you may turn off your primary line to avoid roaming charges from your home carrier
  • How secure is eSIM?
    eSIM is as secure as SIM cards as it utilizes the same encryption and authentication protocols. Actually in some aspects eSIM is more secure than SIM cards because it cannot be physically swapped.
  • Can I keep my primary line on while using eSIM?
    Of course. Most eSIM devices support having two lines active at the same time. So you can keep your primary line “on” for calls/text, while you can use eSIM for cellular data. Just make sure your data roaming on the primary line is not activated to avoid roaming charges.
  • How do I install my eSIM?
    After purchasing an eSIM you will receive detailed information on how to add the eSIM to your eSIM capable device. There are 2 ways to add an eSIM to your device: Option 1 – Adding the eSIM by scanning the QR Code To scan the QR Code, follow the below steps on your device: Settings Cellular/Mobile Add Cellular/Mobile Plan. Scan your eSIM QR Code and enter the 4-digit confirmation code when prompted(if available). Option 2 – Adding eSIM manually If you are experiencing issues scanning the QR code or receive the QR code on the device you are using, there is another option on your device that will allow you to enter details manually. You will be asked to enter: SM-DP+ Address Activation Code All of these details are included in the eSIM confirmation details received after purchase.
  • Where can I find eSIM confiration code?
    This code can be found in the confirmation details which are sent to you by e-mail after purchasing the eSIM.
  • I can't scan QR code.What do I do?
    If you cannot scan the provided QR Code, you can install the eSIM by entering details manually. You will be asked to enter the SM-DP+ Address, Activation Code all of which are included in the eSIM confirmation details provided after purchase.
  • When does it start to count days of validity?
    The validity period of the card begins from the day it is inserted in the phone, for eSIM from the download and activation on a mobile phone. Sparkroam eSIM data cards have a validity of 1 year after which it can be extended for another 1 year after top up
  • Can I call and send SMS with Sparkroam eSIM?
    Sparkroam eSIM cards only include data in the destination country, they do not allow you to make local or international calls.You need to buy LPN separately for this. You can however use VOIP applications such as WhatsApp or Skype, which use your data plan.
  • How can I confirm that my phone is unlocked?
    For iPhones (iOS 14 or later), this is how you can check: Open “Settings” and scroll down and tap on “General” then select “About” Scroll down to “Carrier Lock” if you see “No SIM Restrictions” then your iPhone is unlocked
  • How can I deactivate eSIM on my iPhone?
    Go to Settings > Cellular > under Cellular Plans click on the eSIM plan > Toggle “Turn Off this Line”.
  • How can I activate eSIM using manual activation code?
    For eSIM-enabled iPhones (e.g. XR or newer models), you may manually activate Sparkrpam eSIM by going to: Settings > Cellular > Under Cellular Plans tap “Add Cellular Plan” > tap “Enter Details Manually” then under: use the activation code line LPA:1$rsp-0001.linksfield.net$UVXBC-0G8B9-A280C-M2J30 For some phone models, the activation code is divided into 2 input fields: SM-DP+ Address: fill this field with rsp-0001.linksfield.net Activation Code: fill this field with the provided activation code (format XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX)
  • In which countries sparkroam eSIM works ?
    Sparkroam eSIM works in 200+ countries, and will connect to these networks when roaming. Visit the supported counties page to see all the countries. If you have the Pay As You Go plan, you will have roaming service in all supported countries. If you have the Data Bundles plan, it will work in supported countries.
  • Can I make phone calls with Sparkroam eSIM?
    You can make phone calls and send text messages using your favorite VoIP applications like Skype, FaceTime, WhatsApp, Viber, Facebook Messenger, etc. Alternatively, you can buy a DID/LPN to use your sparkroam eSIM to use as any other regular SIM

  • Can I use physical SIM and eSIM together?
    You can have a physical SIM and eSIM on your phone at the same time. You will have to switch between your physical SIM and eSIM. (The way dual SIM works varies from different devices.)
  • Can I transfer my eSIM to the new device?
    No, you won't be able to use your eSIM in a new device if you have already activated it.
  • Can I make phone calls or send SMS with Sparkroam eSIM?
    No, currently Sparkroam eSIM is for cellular data service only. However, you can use VoIP apps such as WhatsApp or Skype to make voice calls and text
  • Which devices are compatible with eSIMs?

  • Why is my eSIM not connecting?
    Is the roaming switch ON? To ensure you are connected you must switch your roaming switch ON when travelling. You can find the Roaming Switch in your iPhone Settings. For certain smartphone you might need to check your APN settings. These details how to set your APN is included in the eSIM installation instructions you receive after purchasing your eSIM. Do You Have Coverage? If you find yourself in an area with limited mobile coverage, or no coverage at all, you will find it difficult to access the internet. Try switching locations and make sure you have enough signal bars to connect to 3G or 4G/LTE. If you are in good coverage and tried everything else, you can always try a full power-down restart and see if that helps. Have you selected the right network? For best use, it is advisable to deactivate the automatic network search and to be notified of the network indicated on your QRCode.
  • Why Internet is not working on my 5G phone?
    5G is supported by few networks at moment. You must deactivate 5G in your eSIM options and select 4G and or LTE
